Louis Comfort Tiffanyis known for his company's exquisite glass lamps and vases. In his lifetime, 1848-1933, he designed many colored glass windows including several in the New Haven area, as well as glass mosaics and enameled desk sets.

Come hear an introduction to his unique art, whose forms emerged from his deep love of nature, and were also influenced by his travels and collecting of ancient glass.

The speaker, Marcie F. Slepian, holds an A.B. from Brown and a PH.D. from Yale in the History of Art. Her specialties are Renaissance Art and Art of the Early 20th Century.
