About this event
You're warmly invited to join Shoreline Villagers for a special morning at beautiful Chatfield Hollow State Park (381 CT-80, Killingworth). We'll gather at 10:30 AM in the red building near the dam, at the Oak Lodge nature center, where indoor picnic tables are available if the weather turns rainy.
We'll enjoy an engaging talk by James Power, who will share fascinating stories about Shaumpishuh, the remarkable female sachem of the Quinnipiacs, and her essential role in Guilford's history.
Bring your picnic lunch, relax with friends old and new, and experience the park's natural beauty. We'll have a wonderful time together, whether the sun shines or the rain falls.
We can't wait to see you there!
Weather permitting, we will add a level walk on a raised boardwalk through the flowering marsh.
