Join us this December 9th for a heartfelt journey with our next book group selection, Raising Hare: A Memoir by Chloe Dalton. This moving story about caring for a newborn wild hare delights us with reflections like , “Caring for the little wild hare, I was reminded how the smallest hearts hold the greatest capacity for trust, courage, and connection—the very gifts we cherish and nurture across generations.” It’s a tale filled with tenderness, resilience, and the magic of nature that beautifully resonates with the grandparenting spirit. We warmly invite you to read along and share your reflections at our gathering. Let’s explore this extraordinary story together and celebrate the enduring bonds that connect us to both family and the wild world. Come enjoy our Branford Supply Pond Walk with us on December 17th, starting at 1:00 PM. We will meet at the trailhead parking lot at 101 Short Rocks Road. Halfway through the walk, there is a partially-decorated Christmas tree pleading for ornamentation, so you might want to bring a discarded ornament to contribute to the fun. We walk gingerly over the varied terrain with ruts and stones, making the path quite rugged for 1.6 miles. In case of rain, the walk is canceled at 8:30 AM on the shorelinevillagect.org website. Text (203) 747-5939 with any questions.
