Maryann‘s online yoga practice involves gentle movements that help increase flexibility and coordination, improve balance and the ability to bend, twist and move more freely. They may also help with pain management and result in better sleep. We practice while sitting in a chair and standing while holding on to the back of the chair for balance. For those with limitations it is not necessary to practice all the movements. Please have a chair without arms, and one that allows you to place your feet flat on the floor. The 45-minute (virtual) classes are held most Mondays at 10:30 am. Contact Maryann Bracken at: mabfilkins@gmail.com for the Zoom link. Book Group. This month we’ll discuss INTERMEZZO by Sally Rooney. This is moving story about grief, love, and family?but especially love?from the global phenomenon Sally Rooney. Aside from the fact that they are brothers, Peter and Ivan Koubek seem to have little in common. Peter is a Dublin lawyer in his thirties?successful, competent, and apparently unassailable. But in the wake of their father’s death, he’s medicating himself to sleep and struggling to manage his relationships with two very different women. Call or email George DuPont for the zoom link. info@ShorelineVillageCT.org or phone 203-747-5939.
