Listening to other participants’ prose will inspire you and impromptu writing while “in class” will convince your literary neurons that “School’s on again!” Bring your quills and parchment—sharing memories is a soulful, nurturing experience. The Health & Wellness Expo will be held at the Madison Senior Center on September 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meet local businesses offering information on estate planning, Medicare, health services, and more to help guide you through retirement.

We invite you to get together for a walk of discovery through the town of Branford‘s historical past. Branford was settled in 1644, yes, that long ago! 380 years have elapsed but Branford has kept its true New England character. We love our town!

The guided tour will start at Harrison House Museum and the walk will continue past the five oldest buildings on the Green.

In case of bad weather the walk will be rescheduled to October.

Come talk to villagers and find out about this unique community empowers seniors to age in their homes. This Community Coffee is being underwritten by the Guilford Community Foundation and the Guilford Saving Bank as part of a campaign to reach seniors who would benefit from the Village community. Registration is recommended to attend.

Louis Comfort Tiffany is known for his company‘s exquisite glass lamps and vases. In his lifetime, 1848-1933, he designed many colored glass windows including several in the New Haven area, as well as glass mosaics and enameled desk sets.
Come hear an introduction to his unique art, whose forms emerged from his deep love of nature, and were also influenced by his travels and collecting of ancient glass.

The speaker, Marcie F. Slepian, holds an A.B. from Brown and a PH.D. from Yale in the History of Art. Her specialties are Renaissance Art and Art of the Early 20th Century.
